About the Conference:
The Nordic Conservation Association’s Conference NKF2027 aims to bring together conservation professionals, researchers, and cultural heritage institutions from across the Nordic region—including Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and beyond—for an inspiring and forward-looking gathering in Bergen.
The conference focuses on the conservation and protection of cultural heritage while strengthening professional collaboration across Scandinavia and the wider Nordic region. Through lectures, workshops, and professional exchange, NKF2027 will promote innovation, resilience, and sustainable approaches within the conservation field.
We welcome contributions related to:
- Conservation and protection of cultural heritage
- Sustainable management of collections and heritage sites
- Climate change and environmental risks
- Crisis preparedness and emergency response for cultural heritage
- New technologies and innovative conservation methods
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and research
- Case studies and professional best practices
- All cross-border cultural heritage fields such as Heritage Science, Collection Management, Museology and others are welcome to contribute to the conference.
